In a continuous effort to improve employee engagement within the Group, Mudajaya encourages its employees to take part in various activities to maintain a good work-life balance and healthy lifestyle.
Under MMSRC, the first ever MMSRC Challenge Cup 2019 was carried out over a period of 6 months with an aim to encourage team spirit and to foster a closer working relationship amongst our employees. Employees, both managerial and non-managerial levels, from various departments were equally apportioned into 4 separate teams and had to carry our various team activities to win points for their respective teams in a fight to be crowned champion of the challenge cup. In an attempt to create a nostalgic feel to the competition, the teams were given color coded team names which were Red, Blue, Green and Yellow similar to high school sports teams in Malaysia.
Each team was to appoint a leader that would communicate weekly with the organizing committee on various matters pertaining to the upcoming games and team management.
The activities tested employees on both physical and mental strength with games such as bowling, badminton, table tennis, darts, laser tag, scrabble, footgolf, escape room, singing contest, archery tag and dodgeball. As the games went on, the competitive spirits in the battle to be crowned champions intensified with teams chanting their war cries and supporting their fellow colleagues during the games. The organizing committee released a weekly tabloid-based article on the games via e-mail to enhance the interest of the employees with a friendly banter approach in the articles. After a grueling 6 months, the Yellow team narrowly edged out the rest to be crowned champions in the very first edition of our MMSRC Challenge Cup!
The overwhelming response to the games has definitely created a buzz around the office and many are looking forward to the next edition.
